Prompt

Single-cell lithium-ion battery charger using TP4056, with DW01A and FS8205A protection circuit. 3.3V LDO output. USB-C input for charging. JST-PH 2-pin connector for battery. Charge indicator LED. Board size around 30 × 40 mm.

Conversation edits:

  1. Add reverse polarity protection diode on battery input
  2. Increase trace width on charging path to 0.5 mm

Key features

A complete single-cell Li-ion / Li-Po battery charging and power management board. TP4056 charging IC (500 mA default, configurable with resistor), DW01A + FS8205A protection (over-charge, over-discharge, over-current), and a 3.3 V LDO output. Useful for portable projects.

  • •TP4056 charge controller (500 mA charge current)
  • •DW01A protection IC + FS8205A dual MOSFET
  • •USB-C 5V input
  • •JST-PH 2-pin battery connector
  • •3.3V LDO output (XC6206 or equivalent, 200 mA)
  • •Charge status LED (red = charging, off = done)
  • •Screw terminal or header for 3.3V output

Notes

  • Only use single-cell Li-ion or Li-Po batteries (3.7 V nominal, 4.2 V max).
  • Do NOT connect multiple cells in series or parallel without separate protection per cell.
  • Charge current is set by resistor R_PROG on TP4056; default 500 mA. Replace with 2.4 kΩ for 1 A (check battery spec first).
  • Over-discharge cutoff: ~2.4 V (DW01A default). Do not drain battery below this or protection will disconnect load.
  • This design is not certified for commercial sale; for personal / prototype use only.
