Acceptable Use Policy
Restricted Ohmbo uses and the boundary between SaaS self-service and prototype-order review
This Tact Limited policy summarizes Section 11 of the Ohmbo Terms of Service. The full Terms govern. You are responsible for your own work and subsequent use. Ordinary SaaS does not include human engineering review of each work or a promise to monitor all later activities.
Prohibited projects and conduct
Do not use Ohmbo or its output for weapons, ammunition, explosive devices, weaponized unmanned systems, military or paramilitary combat end uses, weapons of mass destruction or terrorism. Direct mains-connected circuits, non-isolated mains power, high-voltage systems, medical and life-support equipment, automotive safety systems, aerospace applications and other life-critical controls are also outside our accepted scope. A suitable isolated external supply does not automatically turn an ordinary low-voltage-side design into a prohibited mains project, but does not certify it as safe.
Unlawful interception, covert tracking, unauthorized access to communications or personal information, persecution, discriminatory surveillance, unlawful interference with public infrastructure or elections, fraud, malware, attacks and infringement of others' rights are prohibited. Do not evade applicable sanctions, export controls or trade restrictions.
SaaS and Orders
You assess your own design, rights, safety and lawful use when using self-service. Our failure to detect or block an item is not approval. Before we accept a prototype or production Order, disclose its intended end use, end user, destination and material risks when requested; we review only the proposed Order scope and version. Complex but otherwise permitted battery, motor, power or high-speed projects do not thereby receive a general SaaS engineering review. A license, third-party review or assumption of risk cannot authorize a prohibited use.
Risk response
On reasonable grounds, we may proportionately pause affected work and request necessary information. Where a use is prohibited, risk cannot reasonably be resolved or law requires it, we may reject or end the affected service. Conforming work already performed is not automatically refunded, and unused funds are settled under Section 7 and applicable law. A response right is not a promise of universal screening or a right to confiscate money. Lawful political opinions, nationality or lawful VPN use alone are not violations.
